A Note to Happiness
I'm afraid of you Happiness
Lest you turn your back on me.
Every morning, I get up thinking
Have you bid adieu to me.
Pessimist
My critiques label me
But then life with her naughty smile
Has shown me
How fickle you can be.
What do we do
to hold onto you?
Al the wisdom in the world
has not taught me
how to live with you.
But take it as a warning, My Darling Happiness
Let me not live to long without you
For if I accept life as it is,
will my heart ever open the door for you?
